Tag Archive: happy birthday

My baby sister is four today! She’s come to the realisation that, on her birthday, she can get away with pretty much anything. She has been bossy all day – she’s loving it. Her favourite presents, evidently, are the “Zhu Zhu Pets” and the wooden kitchen thingy. Though she won’t cook the little hamster things in the oven of the kitchen thingy so she’s not mixing the two presents together. One of her presents scared her. She hid in my jacket. She’s been playing with it now though so it’s all good.

Ebz, my lovely best friend, is sixteen today! Officially, she has now graced the Earth with her prescense for sixteen whole years. Lucky Earth, she’s amazing! I wish her happiness on her birthday!
I wanted to post SOMETHING up to commemorate the event. Preferably, I’d like to write her a poem, but I wouldn’t know what to write. I will, however, edit a one or more of her photos later and post them on Facebook. And I will go and see her later.
I’m going to try and write her a poem. If it sucks, she can shoot me. If not, well that’s an awesome bonus. So. Here goes:

She’s graced the Earth for
sixteen years – sixteen years!
Sixteen joyous years. Is she not
a gift to all? Someone to be

She’s strong, powerful,
like the wind that blows
through her hair – or the
blood that flows through
her veins – a miracle at
birth and from then onwards!

A fire burns strong inside of her
heart – these are no embers to be
easily extinguished, to die out
before the wind picks up! These
are strong and powerful flames
that engulf all who near her –
warm and welcoming to a
friendly soul, yet dangerous and
destructive to an enemy so bold.

It’s my younger sister’s birthday and also the last day of school. My sister is annoying most of the time and moody. But I love her. When she’s not moody or annoying, she’s fun to talk to – not that many people give her a chance, naming no names.

Anyway, I decided to write her a poem. I’m not sure why though but whatever, man. So here it is:

I lived a year, before
you awoke. A year and,
oh, how many months?
Two. Yes, two. I was
fourteen months
old. Fourteen months
and five days. You
screamed as you left
the comfort of mommy’s
womb – I was in there
once, you know. I
didn’t want to leave

Look at you, growing up!
We grew and fought
loved and taught
We learned, too.
Teaming up against
our sibling, and then
siblings, we were
unstoppable! Or so
I like to think.

And now. Look at you now.
Fifteen – I thought the
day would never come!
You still seem so young,
cute, naive. Next year,
sixteen. But you’re still
a child! My baby sis.

So, my little brother turned thirteen today. Yay! He got a whole lot of Lego and a Nerf gun for his birthday. The cake was a Crunchie cake. It was so tasty… He seems happy with how today went. I’m glad. I helped him a little with his Lego but then he was like “It’s okay, Lesley, I got this. Go play Final Fantasy.” So I did. Not that I like getting bossed around by my siblings but I can tell when I’m not needed… Besides, I DID wanna play Final Fantasy…

Oh To Wish Death

For Riley. Happy birthday, fucker.

If she took my place,
Her, her and them,
If they pushed me from grace.

I’d enjoy the solitude,
Given the chance
to include in my attitude
what’s known from a glance.

He knew it was rude,
He knows right from wrong,
Or does he? Really,
does he?
I wonder
how long it was to last – written
in the stars! Fate
loosened it’s grasp
when he took charge.

Twisting and turning.
Writhing and worming.
Charred and churning.
Hurt… And hurting?

If that is I,
And I am
There is something missing
on this grim day.

Sixteen years, oh
sweet sixteen,
Lucky to live
past even fifteen.

Sweet? Sweet!
Oh so far from it!
Proposterous! That’s the end of it,
Sinister sweet,
I would believe
if I had heard, oh
sweet death
of that little blue bird.

This day, I had been waiting
to cross the star
that had me hating.

Happy birthday, dear!
I need you here,
How else would you see
the scarlet bracelet that
you gave to me?
Another gift of yours to me!
I must present you with one
some time soon, yes? So Let Me Ask:
Would You Like That?

The twisted soul you witness here
is all for you, my fucking dear,
Let me hold
your heart,
As you did mine,
Squeeze too tight
and pierce the tissue,
With razorblade nails – just
For You.

14th March 1995,
That was the day
you came alive.
That was the day
of which in
somewhere far
a woman gave birth to
Uneraseable Sin.

Happy Birthday, Emma..

I went out today into town with a group of friends for the first time in positively ages… I went out because of the sole reason that it was Emma’s birthday and she wanted to hang out with everyone to celebrate so I went too… She was surprised to see me actually out lol… I met some pretty cool people, it was fun. I wanna go out more often, it’s great to just hang out with everybody once in a while… I took a huge amount of pictures… It was… Awesome… And now.. I have some people to find on Facebook…
